The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry launched a contest to attract investments to the project “Chisinau Agrifood Center”. The deadline for submitting bids is October 1 this year, IPN reports.
According to the Ministry’s website, it is planned to attract total investments of €20 million with their capitalization by additionally issuing ordinary shares with a nominal value of 1,000 lei, without modifying the status of the farmland where the center is to be erected.
The bids will mandatorily include the strategy for implementing the project to build the Chisinau Agrifood Center, the business plan on its exploitation and development, the confirmation of the intention to invest 50% of the total cost of the project by subscribing for 50% of the additional share issue of SA “Chisinau Agrifood Center”.
The bidders must also submit a notification from a European bank concerning the financial capacity of the investor and the documents confirming the experience of implementing similar projects at international level.
For receiving the tender book, the bidders will pay a non-reimbursable tax of 200 lei. The contest participation guarantee is 200,000 lei, which is paid back to the bidders that are not selected. Bids should be submitted to the address Chisinau, 162 Stefan cel Mare si Sfant Blvd, office 414 by October 1, 5pm.
In February, the authorities announced that the Chisinau Agrifood Center will be constructed on Petricani St. That area is managed by a scientific institution that forms part of the Ministry of Agriculture.
