The Ministry of Labor, Social Protection and Family extended the agreement on the promulgation of the Collective Convention with the Federation of Trade Unions of Public Services Employees for a period of three years. The basic agreement expired on September 10 and the Ministry of Labor promised the trade unions to respect all the legal rights of the public services employees during another three years, IPN reports.

Minister of Labor Valentina Buliga said the agreement will ensure the guaranteed protection of those who work for the Ministry of Labor, Social Protection and Family and the subordinate institutions. “The work based on contract and the payment of social insurance contributions must be our culture and the responsibility of the employers and employees so as to ensure the guarantees that the people deserve,” she stated.

The head of the Federation of Trade Unions of Public Services Employees Vlad Cantar sad the Ministry of Labor’s example should be followed by other public institutions of Moldova as this is for the employees’ benefit.
