A number of student dormitories will be modernized within the "Public Housing III" project. The Ministry of Education and Research signed a cooperation agreement with the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development and the National Office for Infrastructure Development "Moldova-Project", IPN reports.

The implementation of the project is possible thanks to the financial support provided through the €20 million Framework Loan Agreement, which was signed by the Republic of Moldova and the Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB) on March 19, 2024 and was subsequently ratified.

In addition, the project benefits from two grant agreements to the value of €7 million, intended for the implementation of energy efficiency measures, which were signed on March 26 and July 1, 2024.

"The project is part of the authorities' commitment to ensure young people's access to safe and appropriate living conditions within educational institutions," reads a press release of the Ministry of Education.
