Dacia to practice in Turkey ahead of season restart
After taking part in the CIS Cup, Dacia Chisinau will be on a training camp in the Turkish resort of Antalya between February 12 and 26, during which the Yellow Wolves will engage in friendlies with experienced clubs from Turkey and Romania, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The training session will be supervised by Dacia's acting manager Veaceslav Semionov, who told Info-Prim Neo that he hopes the camp in Turkey will be a very useful warm-up for the team before the resumption of the national football premiership. “Increased attention will be paid to physical training as the climate in Turkey is perfect for that”, he said.
In 2009, also in Antalya, Dacia played a friendly with top-rated Spartak Moscow, which the Wolves lost 1-0.
During this mid-season break, the Wolves played four exhibition matches: 0-3 with Iskra-Stal Rybnitsa; 0-3 with Academia UTM Chisinau; 2-1 with CSCA-Rapid Ghidghici, and 1-0 with Zimbru Chisinau.
Dacia represented Moldova at the 2010 Cup of the Commonwealth of Independent States and Baltic Countries, placing third in group D and failing to qualify further.
