Damian Hincu, a participant in the demonstrations on 7 and 8 April 2009, was heard today as a witness in the case of the former municipal police chief, Iacob Gumenita. The young man has told Info-Prim Neo he communicated the prosecutors that Iacob Gumenita booted him that night in the National Assembly Square. Damian Hancu stated he recognized Gumenita in the video footage filmed from the Government building. He also recognized Valeriu Boboc, a demonstrator who was killed during the protests. The young witness went on to add that that night was one of the ugliest in his life, a night which left him with speech impairments and injuries all over his body. Iacob Gumenita was arrested on April 15 on charges of abuse of power during last April's violence.
