Deadline for executing particular court decision could be reduced

The time limit for executing court decisions in cases that involve the state as a debtor will be reduced from six to three months. In its September 27 meeting, the legal commission for appointments and immunities approved a bill to this effect, IPN reports.

Under the proposed changes, the obligation to execute court decisions concerning violation of the right to a trial within a reasonable timeframe, of the right to execution of a court decision within a reasonable timeframe and to repair of the damage caused by judicial mistakes appears when the decisions become definitive.

In the same meeting, the MPs approved a bill that lifts the ban on holding the nationality of other states imposed on security and intelligence officers while these hold office. The new provisions ensure the implementation of the Constitutional Court’s judgment ruling that the status of citizen enables the person to enjoy all the basic rights and freedoms and ensures access to a public post.

The bills are to be debated in Parliament.
