The Government has not yet decided whether to extend the vacation in schools and universities, Minister of Education Leonid Bujor said on Wednesday evening, after the executive's meeting, Info-Prim Neo reports. The vacation in schools was extended earlier by a week. The universities were also offered a one-week vacation in order to avoid the spread of the pandemic influenza. “We will monitor the situation in our country and in the neighboring country, Ukraine. Forty of the 41 suspect pandemic flu cases recorded in preuniversity education establishments have been confirmed. Nineteen cases were confirmed in universities. All the infected persons have been hospitalized. A final decision on the vacation will be taken on Friday,” Bujor said. The Minister of Education said that most of the districts reported cases of pandemic flu in kindergartens. “Two cases of infection of children of preschool age have been recorded in Balti and Stefan-Voda, but these children do not go to kindergarten. Two suspect cases have been also recorded in a vocational school in Rezina district,” Leonid Bujor .
