The socially underprivileged families whose incomes are lower than the minimum state guaranteed income (573 lei) multiplied by the coefficient of 1.4 will be provided with compensations for heat of 150 lei a month during November 2011 − March 2012. The decision was taken in the October 12 meeting of the Government, Info-Prim Neo reports. Minister of Labor, Social Protection and Family Valentina Buliga said the potential recipients can file applications to the social assistance divisions starting with October 13. “According to our forecasts, 110,000 families will benefit from such compensations,” said Valentina Buliga. She specified that the application examination term was extended from 6 to 12 months. Last year the compensation for heat was 130 lei.
