Diaspora Days will be organized in 25 towns

The Diaspora Days will be organized this year on August 19-21, in 25 towns beneficiaries of the Migration and Local Development Project (MiDL). The events are organized by local town halls in partnership with 25 diaspora organizations created within the project, IPN learned from a MiDL press release.

The program includes open doors days at public institutions, experience exchanges between migrants and locals, food fests, open air photo exhibitions and excursions. All the activities are meant to strengthen the links between migrants and locals and to help the former learn about local problems.

With MiDL support, web pages and social networks accounts have been created for the 25 associations, as well as platforms for the live broadcasting of the local authorities’ activities.

For the first time, town halls will attend the Diaspora Congress and the beneficiaries of the MiDL Project will attend the Diaspora Business Forum and the Diaspora Economic Forum, organized by the Bureau for Diaspora Relations.
