Disinfection tunnel set up at entrance to building of ACC

A disinfection tunnel was built at the entrance to the commercial and client assistance center of SA “Apă-Canal Chisinau” (ACC). This sprays active substances that destroy viruses and bacteria when the person goes through the tunnel. This way, the company aimed to protect the employees and consumers from infection with the novel coronavirus, IPN reports, quoting a press release of ACC.

The tunnel is a construction with a carpet filled with disinfectant that cleans the soles of shoes and with a system that sprays active substances on clothing, arms and body of persons who go through the tunnel. For complete disinfection, the person should stay there for not more than five seconds.

“As the pandemic persists and develops, we thought that such a device will ensure the protection of employees and consumers. It is also a solution that is not harmful to health,” said Anatolie Lichii, acting director general of SA “Apă-Canal Chisinau”.

Also, in order to ensure the convenience of clients, the water supplier outfitted all the employees with face masks. The consumers’ access to the building is limited and masks and gloves are provided to these if need be. There are hygiene products and disinfectants at the entrance to the building.

All the surfaces inside the building where there is direct contact with persons from outside are regularly disinfected and the clients and employees have access to sanitizers.
