Doctoral students will receive higher scholarships as from October 1. A decision to this effect was approved by the Government on Friday, IPN reports.
This way, the scholarships of first-year doctoral students will be 1 430 lei, up from 1 330 lei, while for second-year-students – 1 570 lei. The scholarships of third-year doctoral students will be raised by 200 lei to 1,720 lei a month.
The Cabinet also approved the plan of admissions to doctoral studies for 2022-2023. According to the plan, 254 doctoral grants financed from the state budget will be provided for six scientific areas, namely: natural sciences - 17 grants, engineering science and technology – 27, medical sciences – 70, agricultural sciences – 12, social and economic sciences – 86 and human sciences – 42.
Out of these, seven doctoral grants will be offered to foreign students based on international treaties to which the Republic of Moldova is a party.
