The panel of doctors of the Chisinau-based Saint Trinity Hospital banned questioning the former municipal police chief Iacob Gumenita by April 12, the Prosecutor General's Office informs in a communique, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. Iacob Gumenita was to be quizzed by prosecutors in the cases opened over the April 2009 events, but was hospitalized with hypertension on April 7. The pictures taken by video cameras on the night of April 8, 2009 show the former municipal police chief kicking protesters in Chisinau's central square. On April 12, the doctors will assess the state of Gumenita's health and decide if he can be questioned by prosecutors.
