The European Union helps the Republic of Moldova build a developed economy and a competitive business environment at home, Prime Minister Dorin Recean stated at the closing conference of the project "EU4Business: Connecting Companies" (EU4BCC), IPN reports.
The project promotes trade between the EU Member States and Eastern Partnership countries, focusing on five sectors of economic activity with significant potential for export growth: organic food, creative industries, textiles, tourism, and winemaking.
Dorin Recean referred to the 160 local businesses developed in the Republic of Moldova with the support of the EU, noting that the authorities will continue to build a strong business environment, taking the opportunities offered by the European Union.
“Our entrepreneurs profit from the advantages of the European Single Market: access to finance, over 450 million consumers, the elimination of tariffs and regulations, as well as high-quality standards. These benefits help us build a developed economy at home, a competitive business environment, and create more high-paying jobs. Our priority is to continue firmly on the path of European integration, building together a prosperous future," said Dorin Recean, quoted in a press release.
In a hybrid format, the “EU4Business” closing conference brought together around 100 participants and summarized the program’s activities. The project was launched in December 2019, being co-funded by the EU and implemented by Eurochambres.
