The rain and hail on Thursday and Friday morning affected dozens of hectares of crops in a number of districts. Liliana Puscasu, press officer of the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service, has told Info-Prim Neo that there were destroyed 60 hectares of sunflower in Copceac village of Stefan Voda district; 26 hectares of vineyard in Moscovei, Cahul; about 50 hectares of orchard in Paulesti, Calarasi; and 30 hectares of crops in Tigheci, Leova. The rain also affected local roads in Chirca and Maximovca villages of Anenii Noi district. Three cellars were flooded. For June 9 and 10, the State Hydrometeorology Service issued a yellow code warning for rain.
