The manager of a pharmacy situated in Ungheni town was arrested on suspicion that he illegally sold drugs. During control purchases and searches at the workplace and home of the suspect, the police seized money, pills with psychotropic effect and unfilled prescription forms, IPN reports.
According to the General Police Inspectorate, the 61-year-old man from Ungheni sold drugs in the pharmacy. He was arrested for 72 hours and faces trial on drug distribution charges.
If he is found guilty, he will serve three to seven years in jail and will be banned from holding particular posts or performing particular activities for three to five years.
