Dubarenko qualifies for second round of “Azot Cup”

Tennis player Maxim Dubarenko has qualified for the second round of the ITF Futures tournament “Azot Cup” that is taking place in the Ukrainian town of Cherkassy, Info-Prim Neo reports. Dubarenko, who is the sixth favorite of the competition, beat Poland’s Andriej Kapas 6-3, 6-2. Maxim’s next opponent is Czech player Otakar Lucak. In the doubles, the Moldova athlete qualified for the second round together with Ukrainian player Vladislav Manafov. Last week, Dubarenko and Manafov won the doubles in the “Selena Open” tournament, also in Ukraine. Another two Moldovan tennis players, Radu Albot and Andrei Ciumac, are taking part in a Futures tournament in Antalya, Turkey. Ciumac was eliminated in the first round by a Turkish player, while Albot is to play against Italy’s Lorenzo Giustino.
