Easter cakes are available on shelves in the specialized stores “Franzeluta”. Contacted by IPN, the bakery complex’s marketing specialist Aliona Cucu said the range of Easter products this year remained the same. Changes were made to packing and decoration only.

The Easter bread with cheese weighing 500 grams costs 38 lei and up, while that weighing 1 kg can be bought for 68 lei. The range of pound cakes suits everyone’s taste, said Aliona Cucu. These are filled with cherries, cacao, raisin etc.

There are also pound cakes “Panettone” made according to Italian recipe. Their prices vary depending on weight and ingredients. The 700-gram cake “Armonie”, which contains dried apricots and carrots and sugared fruits, costs 60 lei. The 600-gram cake “Cioco”, with chocolate and raisin, is sold for 78 lei, while the 500-gram cake “Dolce cedro”, with butter and citrus fruit flavor, for 79 lei. “Panettone Ciocotone” with chocolate, citrus fruit, cacao cream, chocolate drops and sugared fruits weighs 800 grams and is sold for 123 lei.

Children can enjoy special pound cakes made for them. “Piciul” and “Junior” contain raisin, sugared fruits and lime. These cost 33 lei per 300 grams. The decoration was modified this year. Last year the pound cakes were decorated with drops, but now they are adorned with chopped chocolate.
