Minister of Economy and Infrastructure Kiril Gaburici requested that the units of transport that convey passengers should be equipped with seatbelts. The request was formulated following inspections at a number of bus and minibus terminals, IPN reports, quoting a press release of the Ministry of Economy.
The minister said it is important to also ensure the safety of passengers, besides good conditions. “The safety belts should be mandatorily present in all the buses and minibuses running on interurban routes, as it is in international transport, so that the people reach the destination safely,” stated Kiril Gaburici.
He asked to check to see if all the drivers passed the medical test and to examine the technical state of the units of transport that run on interurban routes. “The buses and minibuses should meet all the standards and should be clean, while the services provided to travelers should be of a high quality,” said the minister.
