Eight Moldovan weightlifters to compete in world champs

Eight weightlifters will represent Moldova at the World Weightlifting Championships that open in Turkey on September 16, Info-Prim Neo reports. Igor Grabucea is the most experienced weightlifter of the Moldovan squad. The 34-year-old athlete will compete in the 56 kg class together with Ghenadie Dudoglo. The other sportsmen are Iurie Dudoglo and Vadim Cralic (62 kg class), Alexandru Dudoglo and Andrei Barca (77 kg class), Alexandru Shatalenko (85 kg class), and Anatol Caracu (94 kg class). Th World Weightlifting Championships in Turkey are very important for the Moldovan athletes as they can win points to qualify for the London 2012 Olympics Games.
