The Broadcasting Coordination Council (BCC) decided to allocate over 900,000 lei from the Broadcaster Support Fund for financing eight projects of the 27 that took part in the contest. According to the Council, the financial support is provided with the aim of developing the audiovisual market and stimulating national audiovisual programs centering on subjects and problems of public interest, IPN reports.
The contest held on November 4-18 involved 20 local broadcasters that presented 27 audiovisual projects. In the public debates, the BCC members said the local broadcasters started to show greater interest in this competition. They welcomed the fact that some of the launched projects that were financed with the Council’s assistance continue and are implemented by local broadcasters at their own expense.
Financing from the Broadcaster Support Fund will be given to the following broadcasters: Impuls TV (for the program “Secretes of health”); Sor TV (“Hope”, program with/about/for persons with disabilities); Bas TV (“Native places”/, program with/about/for national minorities); TV-Drochia (“Ecological impact”); Eco-FM (“Between YES and NO”); Gurinel TV (“Children’s world”); Radio Orhei (“Generation Plus”), and Elita TV (“As it is”).
The selected broadcasters are obliged to produce and air the programs within six months of the day they get financing.
