The citizens who have a digital signature can order online and receive in real time, in the personal account MCabinet, eight types of documents - five extracts from the State Register of the Population and three extracts from the State Register of Motor Vehicle Drivers, IPN reports.

The extracts from the State Register of the Population about registration at the domicile and/or temporary residence or the absence of this; issuing of IDs or the absence of these, holding of the nationality of the Republic of Moldova and loss of this, assigning of the state identification number (IDNP) to natural persons are available in electronic form.

The persons who possess a digital signature can order online extracts from the State Register of Motor Vehicle Drivers about the confirmation of holding/non-holding of the right to drive vehicles, issued driver’s licenses and driving license categories, confirmation of the period of validity of the driver’s license.

The extracts can be accessed online from the Republic of Moldova and from abroad. The application to obtain the extract online is submitted through the public services portal, while the payment is made through the government e-payment gateway MPay.

The extracts requested online and received in electronic format, in the citizen’s personal account, cost by 20% less than the documents issued on paper. The charges applied by the Public Services Agency vary between 70 lei and 650 lei, depending on how swiftly the applicant asks the document to be issued, from one hour to ten days.

The first fully digitalized service, from submission to receipt in electronic form – e-criminal  record - was launched in May 2023. As many as 50,745 such records in electronic form were issued during half a year.
