Elderly persons killed for being deprived of houses
An elderly man and an elderly woman were killed by persons who tried to appropriate their houses by falsifying documents. Five persons are accused by prosecutors of committing these crimes. Two of them were arrested, while one was put on the wanted list, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to a communiqué from the Prosecutor General’s Office, the group of suspects includes a notary who worked in a district center located not far from the capital city.
The body of an elderly man who owned a house in Botanica district was found buried in a field not far from a village of Orhei district in November 2012. The group is also accused of strangulating a woman living in Buiucani district, staging her suicide afterward.
The culprits face 12 to 20 years’ imprisonment or life.
