A woman aged 71 was struck mortally by a motor vehicle in Mereni village of Anenii Noi district in the morning of January 3. The hit-and-run driver is wanted by the police.
Contacted by IPN for a comment, Anenii Noi Police Inspectorate press officer Corina Repeshchuk said the woman was found lying by a man at about 7:20am. There was no car at the scene. It was determined that the person was hit by a vehicle that hasn’t been yet identified.
The woman died before the arrival of an ambulance.
