Emergencies Commission simplifies Ukrainian imports among other decisions

The Commission for Emergencies decided to simplify procedures for importing Ukrainian goods.

In particular, for the duration of the state of emergency, the CT-1 certificate of origin issued by the Ukrainian authorities may be presented as hard copy or digital copy, having the same validity as the original.

The Commission also authorized the presence in Moldova of the World Food Program and the International Committee of the Red Cross. The organizations will enjoy simplified procedures for importing humanitarian aid. After the state of emergency is over, the presence of these two organizations in Moldova will be formalized through separate agreements.

Starting with March 29, the National Social Assistance Agency will authorize the opening of new temporary placement centers for refugees provided that the existing ones in an administrative-territorial unit are occupied in a proportion of at least 90%.

The Commission also decided to provide support measures for Moldovan citizens who emigrated or lived for a long time in Ukraine and returned to the Republic of Moldova due to the war, but have no relatives, friends, or properties in the country. They will receive assistance, including temporary accommodation in refugee placement centers.
