Emilia Plugaru has launched the love poetry book “Blue Sky”. The volume in which the author experiments also with white verses alongside the classical ones is a collection of poems written by Emilia Plugaru during the past 15 years. The book is available from the bookstores Librarius and Cartier all over Moldova, IPN reports.
“The love poems express different forms of love. Love means light. When there is no love, life stops,” Emilia Plugaru stated in the launch.
The author worked on the volume during the pandemic, being helped by her daughter Rodica Plugaru, who edited the book. In the period, Emilia Plugaru also worked on a novel that is to be issued. “This is about rural life. The people from villages are strong and deal with difficulties in a different way. Sometimes, we cannot cope with the faced difficulties,” stated the poet.
A member of the Writers Union of Moldova, Emilia Plugaru made her debut in 1996 with the children’s poems and coloring book “I’m a First Grader”. In 2018, Emilia Plugaru published the children’s poetry book “Colored Seasons” for which she won the Award of the National Children’s Library “Ion Creangă” at the International Children’s and Youth Book Fair. Since then she has written multiple literary works for children that were appreciated by the Romanian cultural community and awarded at different contests.
