The persons who work or worked, when they get an old-age pension, will be able to have their pension reassessed if the pension calculated in accordance with the law on the public pension system is higher than the paid pension. A bill to amend and supplement a series of legal acts that was drafted by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection was proposed for public debates, IPN reports.

In the case of pensions set before the coming into force of this provision, it is suggested reexamining the right to pension in stages. Initially, there will be reviewed the pensions of those who had the pension set before January 1, 1999 and who have a longer insurance period after that date.

The law is to take effect on January 1, 2019.
