Employees of Teleradio-Moldova will be trained in minors’ rights and private life protection

A number of employees of the News Department of Teleradio-Moldova Company will be trained in such areas as the protection of minors’ rights, protection of private life and evasion of camouflaged publicity in news programs. After monitoring the news programs on the national TV channel Moldova 1, it was established that most of the violations are committed namely in these areas, Info-Prim Neo reports. The monitoring division of Teleradio-Moldova compiled a report on the news programs broadcast by Moldova 1. “The Supervisory Board identified a number of irregularities in producing the newscasts. We discovered violations of the right to private life and of minors’ rights,” said the head of the Supervisory Board Eugen Rybka. The Supervisory Board decided that the president of Teleradio-Moldova and the director of Moldova 1 will inform the Board about the training of the employees of the News Department during three months. According to Eugen Rybka, there are many shortcomings besides these violations. The grammatical rules in the news programs are often not respected, especially in the transcription in Russian-Romanian, and many well-known names are distorted. Rybka also said that these violations must be removed immediately because the Broadcasting Code says the programs on Teleradio-Moldova Company must be of the highest quality.
