The Environmental Protection Inspectorate received a modern boat to combat illegal fishing. The authorities note that the equipment will allow the Inspectorate’s teams to intervene faster and more efficiently, IPN reports.

The Inspectorate will also receive other equipment, including water transport, modern sonar, thermal drones and night vision equipment. “Gradually, we will strengthen the monitoring capacity and create better conditions for inspectors who protect the environment,” said the Ministry of Environment.

In May, the Inspectorate was equipped with 34 new vehicles, two of which are all-terrain vehicles.
