The retransmission of programs that can affect the physical, mental and moral development of the children will be allowed only if viewing is restricted by a conditional access system. A decision to this effect, taken by the Broadcasting Coordination Council, came into force on April 29, after it was published in the Official Gazette, Info-Prim Neo reports. The erotic programs can be broadcast only between midnight and 6am. They must be included in special optional packages that are intended for adults and are restricted by a parental control system. The parental control system enables access to the programs only through a personal code consisting of at least four digits, which should not be visible on the screen when tapped. Under the Council’s decision, the providers of services are obliged to inform the public about the kind of programs and the main reason why access to them is restricted for minors. The decision was taken on April 1 following a request from the State Agency on Morality Protection.
