Eucharist Sacrament was instituted on Good Thursday

The Good Thursday is also called the Passion Thursday or the Black Thursday in the Orthodox tradition. Four things are celebrated on this day: Jesus washing the apostles’ feet, the Last Supper when the Eucharist Sacrament was instituted, the prayer in the Gethsemane garden and catching the Lord by the ones willing to kill Him. On this day, as a sign of profound humiliation, Jesus washed the feet of his disciples. At the Last Supper, when He gathered His disciples to celebrate the Jewish Passover, Jesus instituted the Sacrament of Eucharist: "Take, eat; this is my body. And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them saying, Drink ye all of it; for this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins." Then Jesus prayed with blood sweat to the Heavenly Father in the Gethsemane garden, and was then kissed by Judas Iscariot. Starting from this day and till the Resurrection, the bells are not rung in churches, only the bell board.
