The creditors of Eventis Mobile called on the country’s administration and the ambassadors of the partner states of Moldova to examine the actions taken by some of the state institutions towards this company. Eventis Mobile jurist Andrei Iosip and lawyer Sergiu Cotonoga said some of the ministries and state agencies fragrantly break the law when they refuse to issue the company with a license and put the frequencies owned by it up for contest, IPN reports.
Andrei Iosip and Sergiu Cotonoga said that Eventis Mobile is the victim of the illegal and groundless refusal of the State Registration Chamber to register the contract for the sale and purchase of property of IM Eventis Mobile SRL. Recently, the Supreme Court of Justice passed judgment in the case of Eventis, saying the legislation does not clearly stipulate at what stage a sale and purchase agreement should be authenticated by a notary. Thus, the refusal to offer a license to the company for the reason that the contract hadn’t been authenticated before the court confirmed the transaction is illegal.
The two said the refusal to register the contract caused considerable damage to the company. In September, the national ICT regulator (ANRCETI) decided to withdraw the license of Eventis Mobile. The decision is illegal as the company was to start work in May already. Eventis will demand in court that the creditors be reimbursed for the losses of tens of millions of lei they sustained.
In an application to the authorities, the creditors of Eventis asked carrying out an independent investigation and suspending ICT Minister Pavel Filip, Minister of Justice Oleg Efrim, ANRCETI director Grigorie Varanita and the director of the State Registration Chamber Victor Cebotari for the period of the inquiry.
The given application was submitted to Prime Minister Iurie Leanca, the Ministry of the Interior, the Prosecutor General’s Office, and Head of Parliament Igor Corman. Copies were also sent to U.S. Ambassador in Chisinau William Moser and Head of the EU Delegation to Moldova Pirkka Tapiola.
