Executive approves National Legislation Harmonization Plan for 2010
The Government approved the National Legislation Harmonization Plan for 2010, which envisions the formulation of 51 legislative and normative documents, including 47 new documents and 4 documents for amending laws, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The 51 documents concern the financial services (1 document ), companies' rights (1), environment protection (3), public health protection (7), health and security at work (10), protection of consumers' rights (1), agriculture and phytosanitary assistance (19), energy (6), justice and internal affairs (3).
Minister of Justice Alexandru Tanase said the plan is mainly designed to ensure the regulation of the agricultural sector and phytosanitary quarantine in accordance with the EU norms so as to facilitate Moldovan agrifood products' access to the European markets.
According to the authors, the plan will help bring the national legislation in conformity with the EU's laws, eliminate the contradictory legal norms by modifying the existent national framework and create a positive image to Moldova in the relations with the EU.
Under the Government's decision, the ministries and other central public authorities will have to duly formulate and present the bills and draft decisions outlined in the plan, while the Legislation Harmonization Center of the Ministry of Justice will coordinate the implementation of the plan.
