Exhibition of flags in Parliament Building

Over 30 flags used in Moldova in time were exhibited in the hall of the Parliament Building. The flags form part of the personal collection of Petru Costin, whose works were included in the Guinness World Records Book, IPN reports.

In the opening of the exhibition, Vitalie Ciobanu, director of the Center of Culture and Military History of the Ministry of Defense, said these flags represent a symbiosis of the medieval and modern events and were selected from the archives of such countries as Austria, Russia, and Poland. The exhibits include the first flags from the period of Ruler Stephan the Great.

The exhibition, mounted on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the State Flag, will be open to the public on April 27-30, between 2pm and 4pm.
