“Faces of Friends” reaches 9th edition
Singers from 9 countries will participate in the 9th edition of the International Festival “Faces of Friends” to unfold from 4 to 6 July in the town of Cahul, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The festival has three compartments: a singing contest for participants aged from 15 to 25 years which will sing two songs in their mother tongue, recitals of invited artists and a jazz concert. The state was made at a news conference on Monday by the festival manager, Serghei Orlov. Singers from Belarus, Bulgaria, Russia, France, Greece, Italy, Moldova, Romania and Ukraine will perform.
Tom Boxer, Sensor from Romania, Giovanni Buzzurro, Daniele Guastella from Italy, Enver and Lenie Izmailov from Ukraine, Didier Vanelli from France, Olia Tira, AdrianUrsu, Geta Burlacu, Nikorason's, Single Point from Moldova have been invited.
The festival will end in awarding the best contestants, as the public will be offered a dance party driven by known DJs from Romania and Moldova.
The grand prix is 1,000 euros, the first prize – 750 euros, the second -- 500 euros, and the third prize is 250 euros.
The “Faces of Friends” music festival was held once in two years since 1996, and once a year since 2004. Last year it was attended by some 10,000 visitors daily, says Orlov.
