The process of crossing the Moldovan-Ukrainian state border through the Palanca-Maiaki-Udobnoe frontier post was facilitated. The administration of the Border Police said that following consultations with the Ukrainian counterparts, it was decided to modify the standard operation procedures. The facilitated border and customs control procedures started to be applied at 9am, IPN reports.

“After the procedures are completed, the buses with refugees go to triage and placement centers,” said the head of the Border Police Rosian Vasiloi.

This morning at 8am, the inflow was larger at the border crossing points Palanca-Maiaki-Udobnoe and Basarabeasca – Serpniovo, while the outflow was larger at the Giurgiulești – Galați frontier post.

The Border Police noted that all the border crossing points on the border with Romania and Ukraine are functional. It is recommended using all the frontier posts so as not to cause crowdedness at some of them.
