A child was killed, while his sister and parents were seriously injured in a traffic accident that happened near Floresti town. Traffic Police Division spokeswoman Dana Andronic has told Info-Prim Neo that a speeding minibus went out of control and overturned. The six-year-old son of the driver died, while his sister of 9 suffered a spinal contusion and arm injuries. The driver and his wife also sustained injuries. The three were admitted to the Floresti district hospital. A similar accident that occurred on August 10 resulted in the death of the one-year-old daughter of a driver. Another daughter aged 14 suffered multiple traumas and was taken to the Orhei district hospital. The traffic police on August 31 imposed a record number of fines – 1,324. Thirteen drivers were fined for DUI, 139 – for traveling unbuckled, while 224 – for speeding.
