The Family Festival will be staged in Comrat on May 12, in Balti on May 13 and in Chisinau on May 15, when it is celebrated the International Day of Families. The activities within the Festival are held under the aegis of the President of the Republic of Moldova with the assistance of the Charity Foundation of the First Lady “From the Heart”. The organizers promise an entertaining program both for children and for grownups, IPN reports.

In a posting on his Facebook page, President Igor Dodon said the organized activities are aimed at promoting the values of the traditional family. According to him, in connection with these events, the resident of the International Organization for the Family Brian Brown will come to Chisinau on May 21 at his invitation.

“At the events, I will announce a number of presidential legislative initiatives designed to support the families. I welcome the initiative of the Metropolitan Church of Chisinau and all Moldova to mount a march in support of the traditional family on May 12 and I intend to take part in this event,” wrote President Dodon.

In Comrat, the events start at 11am, in Balti at 10am, while in Chisinau at 4pm, in the Great National Assembly Square.
