Fewer persons will study gratis at university
Over 50,000 young people will be admitted to universities and vocational schools this year. 56.4% of the places at these institutions are budget-funded, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to the admission plan for 2011, budget-funded places will be available only at state education institutions.
A number of 22,780 persons will be accepted to higher education institutions (first cycle). 6,753 of them will study on a budget-funded place, which is by 201 fewer than in 2010.
The private universities will enroll 4,155 students on a contract basis.
As many as 10,338 persons will be admitted to vocational schools. Of them, 5,345 will obtain budget-funded places, as against 5,579 last year.
The secondary professional schools will enroll 13,500 persons on a budget-funded place. The figure remained at the same level as in 2010.
