Brass orchestra, armored vehicles, artillery systems and over one thousand troops will march overnight into August 21 in the Great National Assembly in Chisinau in the final rehearsal for a parade dedicated to Independence Day on August 27. “The drill will imitate every element of the parade planned for August 27. It will be a facsimile rehearsal, from military technique to the number of troops involved. Also, the orchestra will play, and the presenter will announce the parade units with detailed descriptions”, Ministry of Defence spokesperson Alexandru Josan told Info-Prim Neo. The troops will be dressed in new uniforms and will demonstrate a new marching step. This year's Independence Day parade will be held at a cost of 10 million lei. Earlier, military parades were held in 1999 and 2001.
