Over 15 million lei was allocated from the National Social Support Fund for providing financial support on the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, which is annually marked on December 3, IPN reports.

The lists of recipients of compensations will be compiled by public commissions for assessing the necessities of providing financial assistance working at mayor’s offices.

In the municipality of Chisinau, 908 persons with hearing impairments will receive by 500 lei, in accordance with the lists presented by the Chisinau local office of the Association of the Deaf. Another 915 persons with hearing impairments will get by 1,000 lei, in accordance with the lists presented by the Chisinau local office of the Society of the Blind of Moldova.

A total sum of over 16 million lei will be distributed to about 40,000 beneficiaries all over the county through the agency of post offices. The beneficiaries from Chisinau will collect the money at the branches of Moldindconbank.
