The head of the Public Association “Moldova mea” Fiodor Ghelici reproaches President Igor Dodon for working in the party’s, not people’s interests as the people continue to live in poverty, as before the presidential elections. The activist related the case of a woman with three minor children to whom the authorities refused to provide social aid.
In a news conference at IPN, Fiodor Ghelici said the woman, who now lives in rented accommodations together with her younger brother and her three children, asked for assistance from the Calarasi mayor’s office, but her application was rejected.
Vera Agapitova raises three children and she says she sees no other way out than going abroad to work. Her brother, even if he is underage, had to look for work. He worked for almost a year for a family, where he cared for domestic animals, but was deceived and wasn’t paid anything.
Nina Cucu, head of the Anticorruption Commission of the Public Association “Moldova mea”, said the socially deprived people need support, but they are ignored. They are transformed into slaves as they do not have knowledge and do not know to defend their rights. The minor from Calarasi was exploited by labor for a year and no one investigated the case.
Fiodor Ghelici addressed a message to President Dodon, saying the members of the organization he represents, who are over 500 in number, became disappointed and lost confidence in the President. “In the election campaign, you promised welfare and a decent life, but only you and your comrades enjoy such a life. The people lived in poverty and continue to live so. You didn’t become the Resident of everyone. You are the President of the party you represent and take care only of the interests of your party,” stated the activist.
Fiodor Ghelici also said that instead of implementing populist projects, the Head of State should better use the money to help real families. The woman with her children and her brother need a home. They will mount protests if the authorities do not examine this case to help this woman.
