The Civic Platform “Dignity and Truth” gets ready to form a new political party, considers Fiodor Ghelici, the appointed ambassador of the International Organization for Economic Development in Moldova. In a news conference at IPN, Ghelici said that after he analyzed all the subtleties of the appearance of the platform, he realized that this paves the way for a new party of the Lib-Dem Vlad Filat, who want to increase his influence.

Fiodor Ghelici said unpleasant things happen in Moldova because somebody wants to destabilize the situation and to repeat the Ukrainian scenario. “On November 30, the people voted freely for this government and nobody challenged the election outcome. This platform appeared in several months and started to persuade the people to take to the streets. We examined things and determined that the members of this platform have neither dignity nor truth,” he stated.

According to Ghelici, Renato Usatyi and Ilan Shor, the parties of Filat, Plahotniuc and Ghimpu came to power with the people’s votes and nobody captured the state as the people made their choice.  After the elections, Vlad Filat’s party was the only ruling party that lost votes and now the politician, who lost his previous influence, uses civil society to create a new party. “I invite the members of this platform to a discussion as I had a lot of questions for them,” stated the activist. He wondered how an initiative group that asserts that it does not have political support manages to organize such large-scale events as that of September 6.

Fiodor Ghelici noted that the protesters’ demand for the head of state to resign forms part of a scenario to distract the people’s attention from the real problems such as the drought and poverty.

The activist called upon society not to allow the situation to be stabilized, saying that of the former Soviet states Moldova is the most successful one and has the biggest chances of entering the EU, but somebody wants to thwart this opportunity.
