The Alternative Bloc proposes policies to strengthen relations with diaspora

The Alternativa Bloc proposes a set of policies to strengthen the relationship with the diaspora and to capitalize on its potential for Moldova's development. In a press conference, the leader of the National Alternative Movement Party, Ion Ceban, one of the leaders of the Bloc, emphasized that the diaspora contributes significantly to the national economy, but is ignored outside electoral campaigns, IPN reports.

"For us, diaspora means Moldovan citizens with their needs and aspirations. We propose sustainable policies that create real bridges between those who have left and the country," said Ion Ceban, mayor general of Chisinau municipality.

Igor Cereteu, MAN representative of the diaspora in Barcelona, called for the mobilization of Moldovans abroad for the economic development of the country.

"It is time to move from promises to actions. We want a clear framework for investment and support for entrepreneurship in the diaspora," he emphasized.

Olga Ursu, deputy mayor of Chisinau municipality, presented a set of measures for the reintegration of compatriots returning home.

"Through the Return Home program, we support capital repatriation, tax exemptions and social integration. We will create legal mechanisms for investments of Moldovans from the diaspora," Olga Ursu said.

Victor Tvircun, a former education minister, called for efficient consular services and the establishment of a "diaspora advocate to defend the interests of Moldovans living abroad.

"We strongly believe that Moldovans in the diaspora have the right to efficient, accessible and transparent services," said Victor Tvircun.

MP Gaik Vartanean mentioned the importance of diaspora involvement in the decision-making process. "We propose to organize regular forums and consultation sessions so that the voice of the departed citizens can be heard and taken into account in the state's strategies," the MP added.

"All these proposals will be subject to public consultations with citizens and experts in the field and will be included in the future Country Program of the Alternativa Bloc," a press release said.

The Alternativa Bloc is made up of the MAN Party, the Party of Development and Consolidation of Moldova, the Party of Collective Action "Civic Congress" and former Prosecutor General Alexandru Stoianoglo.
