Fiodor Ghelici says police were ordered to arrest him

The leader of the public association “Moldova Mea” (“My Moldova”) Fiodor Ghelici said Minister of the Interior Dorin Recean received orders from the former Liberal-Democratic Premier Vlad Filat to find a method to make him silent. He stated that according to his information, 40 police officers were told to find a way to arrest him. Related statements were made in a news conference at IPN on Friday.

Fiodor Ghelici said he possesses a video that discredits a member of the Liberal Democratic Party of Moldova (PLDM), but refused to give details about its content. Several persons involved in the collection of funds for the association have been recently arrested. The last drop that made him inform the press about this was the fact that the police entered the house of a volunteer of the association and arrested her, together with her husband, scaring the family, especially their little child. The volunteers of “Moldova Mea” are treated very rudely by police officers, who try to extract statements against him from them.

The leader of “Moldova Mea” stated that no action of the authorities will make him remain silent. In September, he will start to make public materials showing that the rulers are breaking the law.

Fiodor Ghelici addressed a message to the leader of the PLDM Vlad Filat, through the agency of the press, saying he will not keep silent until he is alive. A letter with over 20 materials with statements and evidence attached to it was sent to President Nicolae Timofti inorder to inform him about the wrongdoings committed by the police.

Ghelici said he will also inform the international organizations about the real state of affairs in Moldova.
