First conference of diaspora starts at ULIM tomorrow

The first conference of the diaspora will take place at the Free International University of Moldova (ULIM) in Chisinau on August 26 and 27. It will bring together researchers, representatives of the diaspora and decision makers from Moldova and EU member states. The event is organized by a group of Bessarabians settled in ten countries, IPN reports.

According to a press release of the organizers, the plenary session “The Euro-Asphalt of the Republic of Moldova: visions and opinions about the country’s European course” will involve the invitees of honor Viorel Badea, senator responsible for the diaspora, Igor Corman, Head of Parliament, Ion Sturza, former Prime Minister, and a series of personalities from the world of business, from the NGO sector and the Government as well as representatives of academic institutions of Moldova.

Consisting of six workshops, the conference will center on the contribution made by the participants, who are citizens of Moldova who settled abroad, through varied academic and professional experience. The reports and analyses of every workshop will be processed and the conclusions will be made public afterward.
