A 32-year-old man was found drowned this morning in the yard of his neighbor in the flood-hit village Nemteni. The man and his 39-year-old brother went missing two days ago. The second man has not been yet found, Info-Prim Neo reports. Dorina Cruc, spokeswoman for the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service, said the brothers refused to leave their homes. One of them was discovered dead in the neighbor's yard by a nephew, who announced the authorities. [Update] In a communique, the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service says the dead man is Vitalie Doroncean, born in 1977. The circumstances of his death are being established. His brother Anatolie Doroncean, born in 1971, is still missing. Measures are taken to discover him. According to Dorina Cruc, some of the people refuse categorically to leave their homes. Passing by boat on Nemteni's central road on Wednesday, rescuers saw a man of about 60 clinging to a fence so as not to be taken away by the torrent. The rescuers transported the man to a safe place. Later on, the same rescuers found the man on the same road. He explained he wanted to take his ducks he left at home. The floodwater advances and the rescuers urge the population to take refuge in safe places.
