The new National Security Strategy is being worked out and the first variant will be ready by the end of August, secretary of the Supreme Security Council Alexei Barbaneagra, who is the President’s adviser on national security and defense, said after the Council’s August 5 meeting, IPN reports.
Alexei Barbaneagra noted that when the first variant of the strategy is finalized, its content will be made public so that suggestions could be submitted.
The Council’s secretary also said that the meeting centered on the economic and sociopolitical situation in the country, the problems faced in the financial-banking sector and the possible destabilization risks. There were taken a number of decisions, but these are not public in character.
