A protest rally in front of the Prosecutor General's Office (PGO) on Tuesday turned sour after six men wearing face masks attacked the group from behind with their fists, Info-Prim Neo reports. The attack lasted merely 5 minutes and caused victims among the protesters. Slightly injured was Stefan Uratu, the chairman of the Helsinki Committee in Moldova and the organizer of the rally. Uratu filed a complaint with the PGO in a bid to identify the assaulters. Witnesses say the police failed to appear at the scene and that one of the assaulters allegedly revealed that he had been hired to do that. The protesters changed their location to the building of the Interior Ministry. The rally was continuing at the publishing time (2:30 p.m.)
