Five cars that were stolen abroad have been found in Moldova, the Traffic Police Department reported. The cars that were stolen from Romania, Germany, Italy and Russia were reportedly smuggled into the country through the Transnistrian region. Their drivers have been arrested until the elucidation of the cases. The punishment for illicitly bringing cars into Moldova includes fines from 6,000 to 12,000 lei, up to 240 hours of community service, or up to 12 months in prison.
