The body of a 59-year-old woman was taken out of a well in Cusnirca village of Soldanesti district on Sunday, June 13. It is not yet known how the woman drowned. The police are investigating the case. One day earlier, four persons drowned in ponds, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service. A boy aged 10 went swimming together with two mates of the same age in a village in Causeni district. When he disappeared in the water, the other two boys ran home, but did not tell anyone what happened. The search started in the evening, after the two boys confessed that the other boy drowned. The body of the minor was taken out the second day by noon. A 17-year-old teen drowned in a pond in Cetireni, Ungheni. Another teen aged 18 got drowned in a lake in Cobalnea, Soldanesti. The body of a 32-year-old man was taken out of the lake in Visoca, Soroca. Forty-nine persons have drowned in Moldova's lakes and ponds this year.
